Lesson 3

What's the word?

In this lesson, students first conduct a survey of their peers to collect data related to how they could explain the meaning of their idioms. After surveying their classmates, students determine keywords that help explain the meaning of their idioms. They are then introduced to user input as data that is entered into a computer. They compare the functions of the Looks command say () for () seconds and the Sensing command ask () and wait. Finally, students modify their programs to accept input from a user.
