Lesson 5
Character logic
In this lesson, students will learn how to code their characters to react when their health levels reach a certain value. To start the lesson, students will participate in an unplugged activity that introduces them to conditional statements. They will use that information to think about what might happen if their character’s health levels reach a low number. Using a planning sheet, they will write the cause, event and effect for three conditional statements. They will apply these decisions to the development of their program.
Learning objective
Students will code conditional statements to respond when variables reach a certain value.
